This pallet is not like most, in the sense that all of the boards are touching, rather than having that traditional gap between boards, because of this I knew it would be perfect for a project!

I started by lining the edge of my pallet with painters tape so there would be a wood border around it, because I did not want the entire front to be painted black, and thought the wood border might offer a nice contrast.

I then used my Krylon Black Chalk Paint to paint the entire top. I did two coats, letting it dry for about 40 minutes in between the coats.

This is how it looked after one coat.

This is what it looked like after the second coat.

After I had my black base on the pallet, I removed the painters tape and set my letter stencils in place.

I used an acrylic paint to paint the "WELCOME" onto the pallet, because I knew this one was going to be sitting outside of my clients house as a welcoming sign for their driveway. I love how it turned out!
