Easter 🐣 Chick Glass Tray

Hi there Hometalkers!

Spring is well and truly in the air and when I was out shopping the other day I saw these super cute plastic eggs and knew I had to make something with it. I made a jelly bean tray with them and it turned out so cute. It's a fast easy $2 DIY so everyone has time to make this one!

Pick up these 2 items at the dollar store:

1 bag of 3 plastic chick shape eggs

Glass cutting board

You’ll also need some glue (I recommend clear E6000)

Open the glass cutting board and use a razor to remove the rubber feet.

Open up your eggs

Lay the eggs out in a triangular pattern with the feet on the bottom of the glass board and the heads on the other side of the glass.

Then use the E6000 to glue heads on top of the glass. Then let the glue dry.

Flip it upside down and do the same with the feet.

That’s it! Doesn't get much easier than this!

Add some grass and jelly beans and you have a super cute chick tray! See more decor at Gilbert Marketplace.

I would like to do this project. What is the dimension of the round glass?

      Hi

I’m making these right now. There are 2 different clear glass trivets at Dollar Tree, one is round and one square. That’s it, just those 2 sizes. I’m actually using the square one and using 4 of the chickie eggs (2 bags of chickie eggs needed). Hope this helps. They are adorable!

I think I will try this. I think putting the feet on first would make it easier. I would think the tops would be harder to balance the dish in order to glue on feet.
