Hey Hometalkers! Amber Oliver here with another great craft for your home! If you like this project, I hope you'll stop by my blog!

Are you a cat lover?! If so, let's raid that scrap wood pile you have in the garage (or pickup a 2x4 from the hardware store!) and create adorable wooden cats to decorate our home.

Start with a 2x4. Measure down 3 inches, then cut on the diagonal 45 degrees.

You'll need 2 of these wooden triangles per kitty!

Next, glue the 2 pieces together. Arrange them so the points look like little kitten ears sticking up! Use wood glue.

I found using a clamp make this part easier. The clamp holds them in place while they dry. You could also use books or something heavy to hold them in place.

After the glue dries, add a coat of paint. You can paint any color you like! Or get creative, add spots or stripes, etc!

You have a few options for the face. I used a paint pen to hand draw the face on this white cat, but I used vinyl from my Cricut machine to create the glitter face on the black cat. You can also snag my cut file via this link.

This little guys look adorable on a bookshelf!
