Porch Bench
These 2 chairs were left in our 1939 colonial when we purchased it in 2018.
Look closely. Bicycle in middle, tiny flip flops on the right and sea gulls on the top left.
I removed cane seats.
I removed the top of each seat and saved them to use as legs on a small table top also left in the house. One on left shows with and on right shows without.
I had original shiplap left over from some of the walls we removed. I glued several pieces together. Mr. braced the bottom of the chairs with leftover wood and attached the seat using my shiplap. He marked and cut it to fit the chairs.
I had originally painted these chairs a light gray using chalk paint but after Mr. braced the bottom and added my shiplap seat, I decided to paint it all white.
I used navy blue chalk paint for the stencils.
This Porch Bench cost absolutely nothing but time. I had the chairs, shiplap and paint in the garage.
