Reviving A Sectional Sofa

30 Minutes
Easy

Our sectional sofa had been beaten down after years and years of kid use and abuse. I was able to revive it in less than thirty minutes with a steamer and handful of fluff!

No kidding!

Steam The Couch

I started by steam cleaning the entire couch body. I followed the instructions on my steamer ( you can see the one I used here) and went to work with the included upholstery tool.

I have to say it removed the odors, fluffed the cloth fibers and generally brightened it up.

Steam The Pillows

When the entire sectional was steamed and cleaned, I turned my attention to the pillows. I used the tool on them in the same manner as the couch body.

I love pillows. Check out my stenciled ones.

Stuff

When I was done steaming, any spot on the couch that didn't fluff up on its own, got a little stuffing. Polyfill works great.

DON'T Sit

When the couch was all clean, it looked like new...a serious facelift for a very, very old sectional in less than an hour. Impressive. And now no one is allowed to sit on it anymore.

Kidding!
