Upcycled Mirror
I’ve decided to take on the task of painting all my bedroom furniture!!! It may take a while but I’ll get there in the end
This is it before it’s a chalky kind of texture - my friend gave me it so I don’t know what she used!!!
I used a plastic rubbish bin liner to put it on to save my carpet!!!!
Always use protection!!!! We don’t want paint all over the carpet!!!
I felt I didn’t need to sand this as it was very dry as a base - so I wiped it down with a wet wipe - let it dry before I started!!
These are what I used to paint!!! Again if you have seen my previous paint posts I am obsessed with this fusion paint!!!!! It is amazing - in colour - Damask!!!!!
and two fussy blokes rollers!!!!!
I started off with my small brush
trying not to get paint on the mirror & if I did I just wiped it off with a wipe!!! Easy!!!
I’m not going to lie I was feeling very lazy doing this - I could have taken the mirror off the stand - which I didn’t !!! I just moved the mirror back and forward until I’d got all of it painted - which was super easy!!!! Just let one part dry before moving it!!!
Here it is finished I did 2 coats!!!
Have left the top cream to add texture - Hubby isn’t sure of it!!! So it couldn’t be getting painted over

Love the color but the details were lost in the original paint and also in your paint job. Maybe doing something to enhance the details. Dry brushing with a darker shade in the details. Or rub and buff on the details. The crown looks alright leaving the cream. Something is just missing.
