Painting the Inside of Cabinet

I found this vintage cabinet in an old homestead when we purchased our property. And, I waited years (while building our home) to get it into our house to be able to use!

But, once I got it into our house, I realized that something wasn't quite perfect about it. I wanted to display my milk glass and white dishes in the cabinet, but with the white inside, it wasn't as visible. So here is what I did to fix that!

Before

White inside and outside

Painting Inside

I choose to use paint that I had on hand, Fusion Mineral Paint in the color Lichen.

I used a paint brush and did two coats of paint.

Painting Shelves

I painted two coats of paint on the shelves using the same color from Fusion Mineral Paint - Lichen. And allowed time for drying.

Style and Enjoy!

I love the pop of color in the inside of the cabinet, and how the white dishes are more visible in the cabinet. And, I still love the white cabinet in our home! It has a modern, farmhouse vibe that I love.

I hope later if she gets more paint...she uses it to fill in all that painted over detail on the cabinet door and top piece. That would be awesome!!
