New Deck
we removed our chicken coop and decided to put in a deck.....later we will put a slider from master bedroom leading out to the deck.size is approx 120 sq ft
dug the hole, placed the Quikrete 10 in. x 48 in. Building Form Tube (cut in half) put the post into this, poured the cement and put the metal post holder into this.. we then waited a few days for the cement to set.
using 6"x6" post and 2"x8"x10" to make the frame work,we notched out the 6"x6" post to fit in the (2) 2"x8"x10" into the post.
we used a shorter 6"x6" post in the center as this is where the slider will be.eventually we will replace an old window with a slider.
we repeated the process on the other side
and the 2 additional post where the hand rails will be; it will have 2 sets of stairs....from the furthest view between the corner of the house the the 1st post there will be a set of stairs....and from there a rail...on the flip side of that a raised flower bed....the other set of stairs will be on this side of the deck with a rail next to it.
using 2"x6"x10"
this leads to the side yard where we have the grills...
Rail and planter box built.
Built a planter box. this area leads out to the back yard,has a view of the duck pond as well.
2nd set up,still have hand rails to do.

This is amazing. Finally will redo deck for third time. Wish we did not have a split level. I love this. Probably will do a tec deck. The others do not last. Enjoyed this immensely. Thanks for the incentive. The decor is fabulous.
