No one panic, I am fully aware that it is not fall yet but does that mean I can’t at least get prepared?! It has been a very very very hot summer over here in Alabama y’all so I am ready for fall to come on! To get me in the fall mood I thought I would makeover some Dollar Tree PumpkinsI had from last year!

Dollar Tree is one of my go-to stores for seasonal decor for two reasons: 1. the price, obviously 2. I like to change up my theme each year so I have to buy things I don’t mind repainting 50 billion times. Plus they have an unlimited number of pumpkins which is exactly what you are gonna need for these fun fall decor projects!

Supplies:

  • Foam Pumpkins
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Construction Grade Hot Glue Sticks
  • Spray Paint
  • Wood Edge Glue Panel
Painting The Pumpkins & Panel

First, paint your edge-glued panel & pumpkins your fall themes colors! I went with white & dark glue… & then later decided on burnt orange & white 😅 Did you follow along with that saga on our Instagram?

Removing The Stems

Next, take out the small stem on each of the pumpkins. They should come off pretty easy, they are only held on by a toothpick.

Hot Glue Time

Once both stems are removed, take the hot glue gun & glue the two pumpkins together. I am a big fan of the construction grade hot glue sticks!

Attaching Pumpkins

Now its time to attach the edge glued panel to the top of the pumpkins.

Change Of Plans

I am not sure why I got all the way to this point before realizing I wasn’t happy with this color combo. Luckily it was an easy fix! All I had to do was saran wrap the white pumpkin & paint the tray top & blue pumpkin.

Ta-Da

Thats it! Easiest pumpkin decor ever…. that is until you see my next one 😉

This is so cute, I just don't see how it doesn't tip over. It's got to be top heavy. No?

  • Jane Rief Jane Rief on Aug 21, 2022

This is not a good idea — there is a balance problem — not enough support at the base.

Fantastic for this fall and especially on the table at Thanksgiving! Maybe a wreath of leaves or fall flowers to fit around the base for added decor. Do you think?
