Fall Pumpkin Centerpiece
It's my favorite season...Fall!
I am always looking for new fall decor. This DIY centerpiece took just minutes and was very budget friendly.
I love neutrals and a farmhouse style, but this pumpkin centerpiece can be tailored to your color preference and home decor style.
Materials List
- Craft Pumpkin
- Floral Styrofoam
- Faux Flowers (choose your favorite colors)
- Faux Greenery
- Screwdriver
- Knife
- Wire Cutters
- Glue (if needed)
I'm a bit of a faux floral hoarder so I went into my stash for this arrangement. Doing so makes this project extremely budget friendly.
This was my first time working with a craft pumpkin and I wasn't sure how thick the pumpkin would be.
FYI- Not thick at all.
To take the top off, I started by stabbing holes into the pumpkin, with a screwdriver.
My first attempt at removing the top was a fail. I thought I could use scissors and snip from puncture hole to puncture hole.
That didn't work well.
So, I got a knife and found cutting the pumpkin was much easier and made a nice smooth cut.
In hindsight, I would advise you use the screwdriver to puncture 1 or 2 holes and then cut the top off with a knife.
As you can see from this photo the "rough area" was from trying to use the scissors.
With the top off you can see how much space there is inside the pumpkin.
Plenty of room to stuff it with faux florals!
If you wanted to paint or decoupage your pumpin now is the time!
I added faux floral Styrofoam in the bottom of the pumpkin.
I would suggest adding a little glue to the Styrofoam so it doesn't move around. You could also use a bigger piece of Styrofoam and skip that step.
Start adding your florals and greenery to your liking.
I cut my florals to the desired length for my centerpiece. I also use the extra leaves from long stems to fill in any areas of the arrangement that need a filler.

I like to vary height, color and textures in my arrangement.
The best part about flower arrangements? If if you don't like it...start over and try again. Nothing is permanent.
FYI- This would make a beautiful table centerpiece at a fall wedding!
I also like adding a few large flower stems. It's visually appealing and also a great space filler.
