Super easy and budget-friendly gift ideas for your family and friends icon Who says crafts are for kids?! You'll probably enjoy making these DIY Marble Mugs as much as your kiddos.

Gather All Your Supplies

Here's one fun way to use up some of your nail polish.

Supplies Needed:

  • Mugs
  • Nail polish
  • Water
  • Wood sticks, tooth picks or Q-tips
  • Bowl (It will become stained)
  • Dishwasher Safe Mod Podge

Enjoy The Process

The color combinations are endless. I choose white mugs to allow my colors to take center stage.

Because Every Girl Loves A Classic Black & White Design

Since I have a black and white farmhouse kitchen I opted for mugs that are more muted.

The colorful mugs will be used for gifts icon

Check Out The Finish Mugs

Not only was this a budget-friendly and fun project they also make great gifts for friends and family.

You can use this marbling technique on any ceramic, glass or painted surface.

Don't forget to allow for drying time before applying your Dishwasher Safe Mod Podge.

Please note it's recommended for top rack dishwasher use only.

Are these mugs now dishwasher safe? In the alternative: How long before the nail polish peels off during normal usage and handwashing?

What a great project! I wish I had known this when my daughter was young. The girls would always come to my house for sleepovers'. They would have loved this!!!!

The nail polish is also not meant for contact with the mouth. Decoration only.
