When I had a new kitchen fitted I also wanted to have new tiles but the expense seemed too much and there was nothing wrong with my plain white tiles, other than that they were very plain!

I looked around for an alternative upgrade at fraction of the cost.

Sticking on the new vinyl tiles

I chose a couple of packs of vinyl peel back and stick on old Look ceramic tile effect.

I begin by roughly planning the various patterns so I don’t repeat same design Pattern too near to each other.

I decided to create an even spacing between the new stick on Vinyl tiles so it looked balanced and not too over designed or overpowering.

Peel backing off

I centre the stick on tile to the plain white one and press down smooth to make sure no air bubbles or creases. It is important that the surface is clean and dry before sticking so that they adhere well. I found that they went on and stayed in place really easily.

Cut to fit

I had some spaces that were slightly shorter than the Sticky Vinyl tiles so I cut off with sharp scissors the excess so it fitted the space before positioning into place. I did this by eye but you can measure if your prefer.

Cutting the vinyl to fit

Knowing when to stop is the key as it’s tempting to put them everywhere!

I am so pleased with my new look kitchen really adds a homely colourful creative facelift for a fraction of the cost!
