It's almost time for Halloween. Here's a fun decoration you can DIY for next to nothing. Anyone can make it.

The steps to make this are very simple. First, measure the width of your.

Second, cut fabric strips (or use toilet paper if you prefer), in strips as wide as your door.

Third, start sticking the strips to your door.

Stick the strips at an angle (not perfectly straight).

Stick strips to the door at alternating angles.

Fourth, tuck a set of eyeballs under the fabric for eyes.

You can make eyelashes or leave them off. Mine are made from colored burlap. (I painted some burlap for a table runner here).

I cut a strip of fabric, then cut slits into the trips. I glued these onto the top of the eyes.

That's it! If you want a simple fall table setting to go with your Halloween dinner, come see this post.

How did you make the man?

I love this idea, but why just do it like a box? As someone old enough to have seen the original The Mummy movie (hush!), I remember him/it being shaped like a person, not a box! So why couldn't you do this in that shape?

What kind of glue did you use on the door???
