Step 1. Paint

I painted my books using a handmade chalk paint but you can paint any color to match your decor.

Step 2. Glue Books

After the paint has dried apply hot glue and press the books together making sure they are lined up in the front.

Step 3. Sand

For a more rustic look lightly sand your books.

Step 4. Apply Saying

I used my Cricut to create a vinyl cutout but you can hand write your saying if you don't have a cutting machine.

For Pre-cut Vinyl CLICK HERE.

Step 5. Seal

I used creme wax to seal these books but you can also use Mod Podge.

Step 6. Apply Ribbon & Embellishments

This step is optional. If you want to add some embellishments you can. If you like it plain just leave it. The choice is yours and these cute little books are adorable either way!
