Marbling Flower Pots

Tip: You can get marbling paint in the craft shop. Alternatively, you can also use nail polish , but the result will be more even with the marbling paint. We used neon marbling colors for an extra glowing effect.

Marbling is really easy and super fast. Before you start, you should prime your flower pots with white. So you have a better basis for a nice end result.

Paint the flower pots with two coats of spray paint. When spraying, keep about 20 centimeters away from the flower pot so that there are no paint spills. Let the first coat of paint dry for about half an hour before you spray the second coat. Now everything should be nice and white. Let the flowerpot dry out for at least 2 hours.

Think about whether you want to partially mask the flower pot with masking tape. For example, a geometric pattern can be created on the flower pot or you can leave out part of the pot from the color. Make sure that the masking tape lies flat and smooth and press it firmly on.

Now it is marbled. Protect your table with a mat against paint stains and fill a bowl with water. The bowl should be big enough to hold a flower pot. Warning: It is better to choose an old bowl or a bucket that does not matter if they can no longer be cleaned. There could be some residue of the marbling paint stuck in it.

Then shake a few drops of marbling paint one after the other onto the surface of the water. The more drops hit each other, the more intense the color. Also drip the other colors onto the surface of the water.

When you are satisfied with the color intensity, you take the wooden stick and very carefully mix the colors on the water surface. Be careful not to stir too wildly in the water or dive too deep.

Now take the flower pot in your hand, slowly dip it into the water and pull it out again with one quick movement. Use gloves if you want to protect your hands from the paint. Then add a few drops of paint to the bowl and marble the other flower pots.

Let the pots dry on a piece of kitchen paper. Carefully peel off the masking tape. Then you can already plant your flowers. Finished.
