Transform that wicker basket that you no longer use into a different lamp and surprise your friends.

Make the hole for the lamp socket

Mark with the pencil the diameter of the thread of the bushing in the central part of the base of the basket and with the scissors gradually cut the wicker. A knife with a sharp end is necessary for this.

Paint the wicker basket

Use the tape measure to average the part of the basket that you want to paint and mark with the flexible masking tape the part that you do not want to paint, both on the outside and on the inside of the basket.

Spray the paint about 30 cm away on the basket. Remember to wear gloves if you do not want to get paint on your hands.

Let it dry for about 40 minutes.

Shake the spray before using. We paint the lamp both outside and inside so that it also looks decorated from below.

Place the lamp

Once the paint is dry, you can place the lamp, being firmly held by the head of the cap and its thread.

Find a socket with a wide head for more pressure and a better grip.

i think it is adorable and have several baskets; but are you a little bit leary of fire hazard? Unless you use a very low wattage light bulb and short time with light on...Happy Holidays!
