Quick & Easy Gift Bow Wreath

Every year I love to create one or two Christmas wreaths, and this year it's all about quick, easy, fun, and festive.

I got these fun and colorful Christmas gift bows at my local dollar store. These bows are about 3" wide, with some varying slightly in size.

What I really liked about these bows is the different looks to the bows. Some are sparkly, some are striped, some have a matte texture, and some are flat but still sparkly.

But any gift bows will do.

For this gift bow wreath I'm using a 12" styrofoam wreath frame. These can also be found at the dollar store, but I often see them at thrift stores too. This one cost me $1.

The gilitzy gift bows were $1.25 for 6 and I had 6 packs of those, and I got three 15 packs of mixed regular and striped bows for $2 each.

I organized my bows by color so it would be easy to see what I had to work with.

I removed all the sticky attachment thingies on the bottoms of the bows before gluing the gift bows onto the wreath form.

Those stickies won't hold the bows onto the styrofoam, and honestly they just get in the way.

I did the inside of the wreath form first, and I just placed the bows in a way that I liked.

For whatever reason, I had a lot of green striped bows so I used 4 of them here.

I decided not to use any of the white bows because I wanted my wreath to be colorful, fun, and festive.

Then I did the top, because when it came to my choice of bows to use I wanted to make sure I had the cream of the crop available.

I didn't want to use up all the good ones on the sides.

After the top was all done I started on the bottom left outside area. You can see how it's starting to fill out nicely.

When placing the bows, make sure to put them nice and snug beside each other so you don't get large gaps showing through to the wreath form.

And here's my finished gift bow wreath.

I used 54 bows on my wreath, which was a mixture of the regular bows and the glitzier ones.

The bows cost me $13.50 in total, but I still have 37 bows left, so I'm guesstimating the cost of this gift bow wreath to be somewhere around $9.

Considering I'll have this for years to come, I think that's pretty inexpensive. And it's light as a feather, making it very easy to hang anywhere.

I glued a piece of jute rope to the back for a hanger. I love the combo of the rustic jute with the shiny bows, but anything that you love could be used.

Here are some close ups so you can see the different texture looks of the bows.

When placing your bows, don't think about it too much. Just throw caution to the wind, and go for it.

No matter what the color combo or placement, it will be fabulously festive.

And here's my quick and easy gift bow wreath on the inside of my front door, which is my kitchen door and the entrance we always use.

My DIY Christmas ornaments wreath still goes on the outside of the door, but it's always nice to have something colorful and festive on the inside since we'll actually see that more.

This gift bow wreath took about 40 minutes to create, with a few of that spent just taking off the sticky thingies on the bows.

This was such a fun project, and super easy too.
