Our little one moved rooms, so we were left with this huge bedroom right across the hall from her! We decided to just give her the entire upstairs, and turn this room into an adorable girls play space!

For this makeover, we used a gallon of PPG timeless paint in the color Emberglo (a soft, coral pink), and a few new fun pieces of furniture! Let's get started!

For the painting part, I had a gallon of paint, small foam rollers, and a paintbrush. I wanted to do a scallop detail on the top piece of shiplap, so for that you'll just need a basic kitchen bowl and pencil.

Start by rolling the paint onto your shiplap. This paint is usually a one coat coverage, but with shiplap, you really don't want any drips getting stuck in the cracks. So instead, I did two very thin coats. I left the top piece of shiplap white, because this is where I'll be painting the scallop detail.

Once I had one coat on all of my shiplap, I used my kitchen bowl to create a stencil for the scallop or half circle along the top piece of shiplap. Just move the bowl, and trace each half circle until that entire top piece of trim is outlined.

Then using your paint brush, fill in your scallops! Slow and steady is necessary for this step and it will never be perfect, but close enough!

Next up, was setting up the fun new addition to her room.. a camper playhouse! This was an early Christmas present that Santa didn't have room to bring in his sleigh! It is super high quality, and took less than 10 minutes to set up.

We added some twinkle lights for flair, and posed with our new setup! She was so geeked to see the pink wall, she absolutely loves pink, and her new camper! She has spent ever day up here hanging out, and playing with her babies in her new playhouse!

I had previously wallpapered this wall as an accent wall, and it goes so well with the new pink shiplap and camper too! The lockers are a necessary storage for all of the toys she hoards in here!
