DIY Valentine's Day Garland for $2

I made the cutest Valentine's Day garland out of some Dollar Tree treat sacks. The whole thing only cost me $2 and it's the perfect addition to your Valentine's Day decor. You can add it to your table or hang it from your mantle.

Let's get started!

What you'll need:

Pinking shears

Scissors

Safety pin

Twine/jute

Treat sacks

Start by taking your treat sacks out of their packaging and remove the strings from them.

Next, cut down the sides of the sacks. Don't cut through the bottom.

Now it should look like this.

Then, take your pinking shears and cut along the very edge on each side.

Next, fold it in half and cut from the center to the side on an angle. This will make a V shape (just like tails on your bows).

You will end up with 2 pieces. Put these aside and continue cutting each sack.

Now, grab your twine and cut a piece about 3 ft long. Make a small knot on one end.

Take your safety pin and put it though the knot. Use this to thread the top of the sacks with the twine.

Like this.

When they are all threaded on, make a loop on each end of the twine.

If you are a perfectionist like me, you may need to iron it to make it all nice and smooth. 😉

Now it’s crisp and ready to be hung!

Check out how cute it is! This $2 banner is great for your holiday decor for a table or mantle.

You can buy more packages of the treat sacks if you want to make a longer banner but this worked perfectly on my entry table.

I hope you enjoyed!
