I always have wood leftover from projects so I thought this piece would be perfect for a little Valentine's Day DIY or anytime DIY!

Make your own version with ReDesign Prima moulds that Amazon reviewers swear by!

I started with a plain board, sanded and primed it. I knew I wanted this decor to be extra pretty, so I took out some modeling clay and my ReDesign with Prima moulds.

I like using DAS modeling clay because I have found it doesn't crack as easy as other air dry clay products. If you want to be sure your moulds won't crack you can always use resin from Alumilite (I love them too)!

Here is one of the moulds I'm using from Redesign with Prima - for this project I used two- Greco and Greco Crest. If you stick the filled mould in the freezer for a bit they come out really nice and you don't have to wait a day to demould.

Next I mixed together some Saltwash and my paint and stippled it on my board making sure to cover it really well with this awesome texture. After it was dry, I painted another coat of paint and glued my moulds on and painted them as well. I then used Redesign with Prima Chalk Paste for a stencil design.

I then took a Redesign with Prima transfer and cut out part of it to fit my board. I used the Neverending Story for this and rubbed it on using the applicator

Once it was all rubbed on, I peeled off the top layer leaving the transfer on the wood and burnished the edges using my finger.

I then measured the board marking the middle. I decided this would be a great necklace holder or scrunchie station.

I drilled my holes - one for each knob I was going to use to hold necklaces or scrunchies 🙂

I then used Annie Sloan clear wax to seal the piece then went over and highlighted the moulds with Redesign Decor Wax in Eternal.

I then screwed in these crystal knobs, instantly dressing up the board.

Here is the finished product. Didn't it turn out pretty! If you do your own tag me on Instagram, I'd love to share it!
