Bring some cheer to your décor with a cute as can be Polar Bear Hoop Wreath to add a cozy Winter welcome to your front door. A simple wooden hoop and some snuggly Kunin Felt make this project quick and easy. He is ready for the cold weather with his warm cap and mittens!

Download and print the Polar Bear Hoop Wreath Patterns at CreativelyBeth.com.  Cut out, trace onto chipboard and cut out again. Trace patterns for this project onto Kunin® Plush™ and Classic™ Felt according to notes on pattern sheet with MONOTWIN Permanent Marker. Cut out all pieces with scissors. TIP: Remember to cut INSIDE the lines for a neat and clean finished project.

Unscrew embroidery hoop, place inside hoop under a 16” by 16” square of Vanilla Kunin® Plush™, and place outside hoop on top. Line up the hoops, push them together with the fabric in the middle. Pull edges of Plush Felt tight through the hoop, then tighten the screw. Trim excess Plush Felt with scissors. Substitute White or Cream Kunin® Classics™ Felt, if the Plush™ Felt is hard to find.

Measure and cut an 8” circle of Plush Felt and then position it one inch from the bottom of the hoop at 6 o’clock, making sure that the screw closure is at 2 o’clock. Thread needle with ivory embroidery floss, knot end and stitch “muzzle” to “head”. Leave a 2” opening, stuff loosely with Poly-Fil® polyester fiberfill, and then stitch closed.

Thread the needle with black embroidery floss, knot end, and place one large stitch through the muzzle from 12 o’clock, down 5” then sew on two large buttons for eyes.

Thread needle with light blue embroidery floss and stitch accents on the Charcoal Felt trim for the hat and mittens.

Cut four ½” by 12” strips of Charcoal felt. Gather together, fold in half, fold in half again then tie tightly in center with black embroidery floss. Cut loops with scissors and fluff to create a pom-pom.

Stitch snowflake onto Red Felt heart with ivory embroidery floss. Cut a 12” length of red ribbon, tie in a knot to create a loop, then hot glue to the back of the heart at the top.

To assemble the Polar Bear Hoop Wreath, attach the following with a hot glue gun and glue sticks: Black nose to the top of the muzzle, Baby Pink inside the ear to Vanilla Kitten ears, and then attach ears to the front edge of the embroidery hoop. Charcoal trim and pom-pom to Blue Ocean hat and then attach the hat to the back edge of the embroidery hoop.

Charcoal trim to mittens and then attach mittens, with tips touching to the front, bottom center of the embroidery hoop.

I hope you will use my Polar Bear Hoop Wreath as a jumping-off point to showcase your Winter creativity and create something warm and cozy today, in just about an hour. Change up the colors of the hat and mittens to match your home’s decor, or have Mr. Bear hold a snowflake or even a mug of hot cocoa! The possibilities are endless.
