Easter Book Stack

I've created a couple Easter crafts this year, but this one is my favorite because it focuses on the true meaning behind this special season! I'm have various book stacks in my home also, but this was my first time creating a "faux" stack using a crate instead of actual books. I loved the result!

Dollar Tree has these wood crate and cross forms. Grab one of each and paint or stain in your favorite finish.

Next we are going to add "He Is Risen" to one side of the crate. You can cut and apply vinyl words, but to make it even simpler I freehanded the lettering with a white paint pen.

Measure and cut a piece of lace or ribbon to fit around the end of the crate.

Apply a layer of wood glue to the top of the crate and adhere the cross on top.

Once your wood glue is dry, switch to a hot glue gun and glue down your ribbon. wrap the ends around and glue inside the crate to keep it seamless.

Finally, trim down some greenery and hot glue them to the top. Dollar Tree has a huge selection of these as well to keep your cost down!

So easy, yet so beautiful! I love the big impact this makes, on such a small budget and time frame. Happy Easter!

Are you able to give height & width dimensions of the crate & cross, please. The cross doesn't seem to be available at my Dollar Stores so I'm looking for other sources.
