Ever wonder what the best way is to store herbs in the fridge? Learn this hack how to store herbs in the fridge for longer!

How to Store Herbs in the Fridge LongerHappy Wednesday! Today we are looking at our fridge and pantry, so “let’s look” at one my favorite hacks for the fridge!

My FASTer Way to Fat Loss clients are overhauling their diets with whole food nutrition and one of the easiest natural ways to add flavor to food is by using herbs.

Fresh herbs look beautiful, smell amazing, and often taste as good as they look.

But at some point in every well-meaning herb lovers life, you forget that you bought said herbs, and by the time you find them stuffed at the bottom of a fridge drawer they are brown and soggy – words that I do not care to describe anything I am about to put into my mouth.

Not ever. For any reason.

I feel fairly confident that I am not alone.

So I am going to share with you how to store herbs in the fridge longer.

I am sure there are a million hacks, but here is mine.

A glass jar! A re-purposed glass jar no less.

Who knows what this one was used for.

Jam. Salsa. A candle.

We will never know because I re-purpose every single glass jar, but I can tell you what it is now.

My hack to storing herbs in the fridge longer.

#2. Wash and pat dry the herbs.

Make sure to leave on the rubber band as this helps keep the herbs upright in the jar.

#4. Place the herb jar on an easy to reach shelf in the fridge.

From left to right we have cilantro, basil and parsley.

When I am cooking I simply reach in and pull some leaves off or I will bring out the whole jar.

It’s good to see that somebody else’s thinking of how to store their herbs my mother taught me this when I was seven years old that was over 60 years ago. And one of the most important things just make sure you add water to the jar every 3 to 4 days because the water will evaporates. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Ahna thanks. My sister does one more thing; she puts a large plastic bag on top to seal. Then no air touches the herbs. Lasts for so long too.
