How to Make Your Own Cotton Boll Branch Wreath

Have you joined the cotton boll band wagon yet? I love it's rusticity.
I made a wreath using faux cotton boll branches and a grapevine wreath.
If you want to make your own, you'll need an 18" grapevine wreath, 4 cotton branches, burlap ribbon and floral wire. I purchased my supplies at Michaels Craft Store.
Trim your cotton branches shorter with wire cutters and attach them to the wreath wire floral wire.
I layered the branches a little to cover the stems and attached each branch in a couple places with the wire to hold them on securely.
Then I made a burlap bow and attached it with wire also.

You can arrange/fluff your cotton bolls when you are done making the wreath.
It's perfect if you love neutral, natural, rustic elements in your decor.

Is that how cotton is referred to right off the plant? Boll...instead of ball?

You realize that for every cotton boll that is used in home decor, you are robbing a boll weevil (sic) a home. Just had to throw that one in there. Beautiful job
