We created a beautiful fire pit area from a dark and muddy corner of our yard. The build took a weekend and a little sweat equity but the results are amazing and the family loves this space!
When the fire pit was finished I cut a circle out of a large piece of reclaimed plywood using a jig saw to use as a cover for the fire pit. The cover keeps out the rain and works perfectly as a table!
We started building a fire pit using paver stones. Then we filled the area with pea gravel. This was a weekend long project that took all day each day but was so totally worth it in the long run!
Oil cloth table cloth keeps the fire pit and the plywood dry.
We used a round plastic oil cloth cover to cover the plywood. This area now has a table in the center when the fire pit is not in use. The matching oil cloth pillows are just the accessory needed to bring this dark corner of the yard some much needed attention.
