My hubby got me this at an Estate sale. I loved the shape and function but hated the color. It was easy to take out the clock mechanism to get to the shell of the clock.
The clock before the redo.
The style and colors were outdated and didn't fit my color scheme for my guest room.
The side view showing the hardware.
It had very little hardware to redo.
A light sanding and priming time.
Getting it ready to prime. I put on 3 coats for a smooth finish.
Priming saves a lot of time and paint.
The primer process was only one coat.
Primed and ready for paint
The clean crisp color of white gave it a new look.
Old hinges and handware get a new look.
I sprayed painted the hinges and latch a black to update the look.
I bought 2 glass knobs to update the look and used a vinyl "stick" on picture to give it detail and to match the color scheme. I might add the numbers 12, 3, 6, 9 to appease my hubby. The blank face drives him crazy :)

Put those numbers on NOW! You don't want a crazy hubby! I happen to think it is very smart without the numbers! But you know guys...they'll put beer in your good wine glasses! You did a great job! The lines on this are great and the color scheme is so "IN"!
