15 Innovative Dishwasher Hacks

I recently discovered Hometalk, which is kind of like Houzz, but less focused on architecture and more on specific tips and tricks for the home and gardening. I’m in love with the plethora of information you can find, including some of my recent blog posts such as 3 Tips for Cleaning the Dishwasher and Shoe Organizing Ideas. Recently Hometalk asked me to curate a few of my other favorite Dishwasher Hacks and today I’m excited to share with you a few of my favorites. Do check out my curated board on Hometalk for the full collection of my Dishwasher Hacks and be sure to follow me too!
Make Your Own Dishwasher Tabs // from Mom4Real.

Ingredients:

- 1/2 cup Borax

- 1/2 cup washing soda

- 1/2 cup baking soda

- 1/2 cup citric acid

- 1/2 cup Kosher salt

Directions:

- Mix all ingredients together, except the water, with a whisk.

- Slowly add in the water, a little at a time using 1 tablespoon measurements. Continue adding water until you can form a loose ball. Careful not to add too much water past this point.

- Fill the ice cube tray with your mixture. Press down on each cube to eliminate any air pockets.

- Let dry for 12-24 hours. Once finished, gently turn your tray upside down and pop out the soap tabs as you would ice cubes.
