Why You Should Rake Your Lawn Regularly

Keeping a lawn green and lush all season long is challenging at the worse. There are numerous things that one must do in order to ensure the healthiness and beautifulness of their lawn.
Mowing, fertilizing, watering, and weeding are all essential for your grass; however, there is one more task that most people forget about – raking.
Aside from the aesthetic benefits, what other reason is there to rake your lawn regularly?
Well, the main reason for raking a lawn is to remove leaves. They can cause severe damage to a lawn. When it rains, leaves retain moisture , creating a seal over your lawn and restraining it from breathing.

We do not leave leaves on our lawn long...they will ruin it. But we have reached the age raking is a no, no! Hubs just bought the vacuum that fits over a 55 gal garage can holding a large bag...it mulches the leaves. Not expensive at Lowe's...about $200. He will try it tomorrow...we got a shower yesterday so he has a new, unused toy! I will keep everyone posted.

You should definitely rake leaves, but you should definitely not rake grass clippings.
