    Sharon, people used to call the Hoya the "Wax Plant". The leaves are very fleshy w/a waxy feel, and it is a vining plant. If you were to touch this bloom, it would feel artificial or waxy. The blooms last about a week. It is commonly used as a house plant. I'm unsure of the scientific name, but can look it up.
