It is really tall with purple flowers.

Datura.... Looks like the wild variety. They can be the most beautiful of flowers, just very poisonous.

I don't now if the wild datura has a scent but the cultivated variety has the most fabulous fragrance, well worth growing in a position away from animals and kids.
