Kitchen Make Over

We bought this home in July 2013 and knew even though the cabinets were in pretty good shape we decided to go for it and give it a new life with lots of color. You can see the rest of the transformation on the link below.
The before picture of the kitchen in a home we bought in July 2013.

It had carpet, linoleum and white oak cabinetry.

We kept the layout pretty much the same.

We also recycled some of the cabinets to use in the master bath and closet.

I refinished them with paint.
We removed the large picture window and

turned it into a sliding glass door and enlarged the window above the sink.

This house came with some structure issues that took up most the summer fixing in the crawl space of the house. We try to do as much as we can ourselves.

Here is our transformation.

We added new cabinets, tile floor, granite countertops. We put in the brick backsplash and new light fixtures with some we made ourselves.

This was the room with a *View*! We extended the wall out to give the guest bathroom some much needed privacy.
