Cover Ugly Laminate With Real Wood Veneer

I was tasked with transforming a diamond-in-the-rough cabinet into something pretty that my grandmother could use as a microwave stand. I initially planned to replace the ugly, cheap laminate top, but after realizing that the top was on too securely to remove, I had to come up with a Plan B. I ended up covering right over the ugly laminate with adhesive-backed wood veneer, and then finishing the edges with moulding.
