We built this desk in about 2 1/2 hours.
For FREE!
We had some old table legs and we constructed a frame by attaching the pallet boards to the sides of the legs. The pallet boards on the long side of the desk measure 48″ wide and the pallet boards on the short side measure 11″ wide.
It was such a fun project and such a great way to repurpose and upcycle.
The desk fits easily under the hutch. For reference, here are the dimensions of the desk: 48 " wide 18 1/2″ deep 33″ tall.
Pry the pallet boards off your free pallet leaving the frame of the pallet intact.
Remove the legs and braces from an old table to use as the legs for your desk.
Construct a frame by attaching the pallet boards to the sides of the legs. The pallet boards on the long side of the desk measure 48″ wide and the pallet boards on the short side measure 11″ wide.
On the original pallet frame....cut frame to 18 1/2″ deep. Re-nail the boards back onto the pallet without any gaps. Attach top to base.
