Chalk like Paint 2.0... the risky version

I recently tried chalk like paint on a piece that was zero risk... I didn't have any money invested in it and it needed repairs. It was easy to take a chance because all that was involved was my time... Yesterday I got a bit more adventurous...
One of the things I love about working with my husband Kent is his willingness to try risky things. He makes beautiful bowls. They take a lot of time and the finished product is a one of a kind piece full of life and rustic charm. I was surprised when he was willing to try finishing one in paint
The piece we used was large, almost 2' wide. I was nervous he wouldn't like it but... he is quite pleased.
Here is how it turned out. I would love to know what you think!
