I created this industrial oil-bubbed bronze papertowel/TP holder using a wood base and black iron pipe and fittings!
The finished product!
You can buy a pre-cut 12" black pipe nipple, floor flange and cap at Home Depot. 3/4" diamer is perfect for a roll of paper towels.
I cleaned the pipe and fittings well, then assembled and spraypainted with one coat of gold and one coat of ORB.
To create the base, I cut a 6"x6" octagon out of 1x8 pine. Then I routed it to create fancy edges, sanded, stained, and polyurethaned it.
Next, I attached the assembled/painted pipe structure to my base.
Then I sanded in random spots with coarse-grit sandpaper to create that "distressed" look.
You could use longer pipe if you wanted to hold lots of spare TP in the powder room! If you would like me to make one of these beauties for you, you can order one for just $30 at my etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/listing/206763982/oil-rubbed-bronze-industrial-paper-towel?ref=shop_home_active_1
