How a Cutting Board and Scrabble Game Piece Can Make Your Life Easier

An old cutting board and a Scrabble game tile holder work perfectly together to create an Ipad stand.
Prop up your ipad in the kitchen to make reading recipes easier while cooking or in the bathroom to watch that video on hairstyling while you are in front of a mirror.
I started with two old cutting boards and two Scrabble tile holders.
After the cutting boards received a good sanding, I used scrap wood to make stands.
The stands and the Scrabble tile holders were attached with wood glue and tiny nails. I filled in the nail holes with wood filler and sanded the boards again.
Using an interior satin paint, the ipad stands received a couple coats of white paint and a light distressing.

Can I use chalkboard paint over the paint/stain? I want to make this dual purpose.
