Faux Quilted Christmas Ornaments

I can't quilt. I've tried, and I just can't manage to cut a straight line (kind of an important first step). But even I can make these charming faux quilted Christmas ornaments!
All you need are Styrofoam balls, some fabric, and pins.
If you can cut square (ish) shapes, you can totally do this craft! No perfect lines and angles necessary, I promise. It's just a matter of folding small squares of fabric, and pinning them to the foam ball.
My mother taught me (and the rest of my girl scout troop) to make these when I was a kid, and I had so much fun teaching my girls how to make them this year!

I made a few of these this year and placed them in a gift basket filled with other goodies that I made. I made these, DIY heating pad, buckeyes, peanut brittle, coasters, hot cocoa mix and placed them in a basket that they could reuse for storage of something else they could use it for. I make 95% of my Christmas and I find wonderful ideas here on pintrest. Thank you for your idea with the Christmas ornaments. They are beautiful when they are done.
