With the holiday season upon us, there are sure to be tons of messes in our kitchen, and lots of activity at the kitchen sink! It seems like every year around this time, our sink gets clogged up, and I wanted to find a more natural way to clear our drains than using store bought options that are filled with harsh chemicals. This trick will help clear most drains so you can get back to enjoying the holidays!
You will need baking soda, vinegar and boiling water.
Start by pouring boiling water down your clogged drain.
Next, pour 1/2 cup of baking soda down the drain.
Follow the baking soda by pouring a mixture of 1 cup of boiling water that has been mixed with 1 cup of vinegar over the baking soda.
It will immediately start to bubble up, which means it's doing it's job!
Wait until the bubbles die down, and rinse with hot water straight from your tap. This method works on most clogs, especially if you have poured any sort of grease or fat down your drains (which you should try to avoid). Along with this post, I'm sharing 15 Cleaning Tips To Help Save Your Sanity This Holiday Season....see link below!
