Easy & Cozy DIY Window Seat Bench

Easy
When you live in a smaller apartment or house, you have to be able to use every free space you have, in order to make the place as comfortable as possible for you. One way to do that is by building a seating area next to your windows where you can gather with your friends and family or relax and read your favourite book undisturbed.
Before you start with the building of such corner however, it will be nice to perform a cleaning of the area to make enough room. You have to remove everything from there, vacuum the space and clean any stains and other forms of pollution. When you are done with the cleaning you will have a better look at the free space and come up easier and faster with some interesting ideas.
By using this simple idea, you will be able to change completely the appearance of your real estate property. You can change the whole interior design of a certain room in your place, if you decide to make this renovation. The best thing is that a project like this won't take a lot of your time and also won't require any professional skills or knowledge of building.
With a couple of tools and the necessary materials you will have a great and very cosy built-in corner for sitting right next to your window.

If you are having some troubles finding the necessary inspiration, in this article you will be able to find some great tips and ideas.
Built-in corner by the window with cushions – For this idea you will need a lot of cushions, preferably in the same colours or with the same pattern as your walls. If you can’t find cushions in the same colours, you can buy such which fit into the design of the room. For the sitting area you can either use benches again, which you can paint in interesting colours or use special fabric for decoration with which you can cover the wood.
Useful sitting area by the window with shelves – If the space is never enough for all of your things, this project will be great for you. On one hand, you will have a quiet place where you can sit and relax and, on the other you will have a couple of extra shelves where you can put some of your possessions. You can measure the free space you have by the window and look in the furniture stores for something suitable for that area. Keep in mind that the furniture which you will use must be strong enough to sit on it.
