Turn Your Old Tree Into Topiaries #christmastree

If you buy a new Christmas tree this year, DO NOT throw your old tree in the trash. I recycled our old artificial tree into two pretty topiary trees for our front porch - for free!
The two topiaries on either side of our front door are made from our old full-sized artificial tree.
The base of each topiary is a pedestal planter that I made earlier this year from two plastic pots. I secured an upsidedown tomato cage inside each pedestal.
I wired branches from our old tree onto the tomato cage.
Finally I fluffed the Christmas tree branches into a topiary tree shape.
You can decorate the topiaries however you would like. I added large colored lights to match the rest of our outdoor decorations
