DIY Heart Marquee Light

$10

Make your very own heart marquee light for around $10 just in time for Valentine's Day! The light looks pretty during the day and stunning at night.
Start out by gathering supplies - a large heart shaped paper mache box, a marquee light kit, pencil, craft knife, hot glue gun and any other supplies needed to decorate and embellish your light.
Then decorate your box however you want. (Tip: The wrong side of the lid will be facing up to create the marquee effect.)
Use your pencil to mark the spots where you want to make holes for the marquee lights. Mark on the top of the lid which will end up being placed over the box wrong side up.
Use a craft knife to cut through the lid big enough to fit the marquee lights through. The kit I purchased had tiny seed lights and after they were pushed through you added the bulbs over top.
Hot glue the lid wrong side up to the top of the box and cut a spot on the bottom of the box for the on/off switch to fit through. To see more visit my blog!
