DIY Footed Floral Plate

I have this "thing" for footed bowls and plates. They're just so elegant, don't you think? But they can be pricey, so using a couple of items from the dollar store and craft supplies that I had on hand, I created my own one-of-a-kind, floral footed plate for $2.
All you need is one of those glass candle holder holders . . .
. . . a glass plate, some mod podge, a scrap of fabric, paint brush and scissors.
First, cut out a circle from the piece of fabric and brush on a liberal amount of Mod Podge to the back of the plate. Apply the fabric circle on plate, then brush on more Mod Podge over the fabric.
Paint the candle holder (if desired) with a multi-surface craft paint. Glue the plate onto the candle holder with E6000.
See the blog post for how I finished off the edge and to read the entire tutorial.
