I requested this for Mother's Day 2011. My husband and daughter created it for me from an antique door, old porch columns, and new wood.
Yes I use it to go into the woods.
Deer proof they don't know how to twist the knob. LOL

That door looks Great.. I would leave the color the same and poly-coat it.. Like stepping into the past..
