How to Save This Year's Gourds for Next Year

Gourds dry beautifully and can be used for many years for decorating. The process is really easy! Every year after Thanksgiving I put my fresh gourds in my dehumidfied basement and forget about them until the next fall. Then I clean them, stain them, and they are then ready to be used forever.

Lovely shine on this dried gourd.
The mold shown here rubs off and after being stained, this dried gourd will be gorgeous.
