Basement Progress!

Urban Acreage

We've been chipping away at our basement makeover and finally reached a halfway point! Here is how the basement looked a couple months ago. Ugh. Dreadful!
After removing the storage shelves, we painted the walls and floor and hired a local guy to spray paint the exposed ceiling black. The ceiling spray job wasn't cheap, but it saved us a couple weekends of work, so I think it was worth the investment!
My husband installed six ceiling lights. It's amazing what proper lighting can do for a space!
He also built an amazing climbing wall playhouse for our kiddo!
Visit my blog for more photos and details on how we painted the cement floor!

Amazing. What a lot of extra space you now have. I am guessing you will put some kind of rubber matting under that climbing wall to cushion any falls? Lots of hard work here but well worth the result! Well done for making the most of every bit of space.

@Carole Thanks for checking out my post! Yes, we will be acquiring gymnastics mats of some sort before we let our 4 y.o. or guests climb on it! :)
