Vintage Hunt Scene Card Table

Need your advice!!! I just found on one of my many Thrifty Hunts at Goodwill this vintage hunt scene card table. It really looks old based on the legs and other mechanisms. It was only $7!!!! You would not believe the crazy looks that I got. The weather this morning was not ideal for natural lighting pictures so I appologize! I took off the handle, but left the legs attached since they fold into the table. My question is....do I hang as is and enjoy the imperfections or paint over it in some decorative fashion to use as a unique blank canvas? I know what I want to do, but wanted to make sure it just wasn't plain awful! Does anyone have any ideas as to its age? I removed a painting to display for these photos.

This is the old S/H card table from the 50's. I have an original (20's leather top) it was patterned after that is 2 levels. Check to insure yours isn't 2 as well. I would "touch up" the scraped area or just oil the whole thing well so it is preserved (like me).

I have a smaller snack table and although it is far from perfect, I never touched it and as you asked the question ''what should I do with it '', I hoped that you had kept its original spirit. Some things are better passed along to someone else for future generation to enjoy and appreciate when it is really older. Enjoy your beautiful table! You did the right thing
