Chair Makeover

Kimberly
by Kimberly
The first was redoing a chair that's been in my family. It's not something I would have bought but it's a decent piece I wanted to use as an accessory to the room. Instead of buying fabric to recover it, I broke out my doilie pillow covers from the consignment shop I talked about a couple of weeks ago and made use of the fabric (mypinterestreality.com/2012/05/diy-doily-transfer-tee).
From old to new
Unscrew the bottom of the seat from the base.
Wrap new fabric around cushion. I was able to keep the old one but you may need to cut new foam.
Using a staple gun, staple new fabric tautly around the cushion.

WE had 6 chairs and a table in this design. We sold it at auction in IN when we retired in 1992. Thanks for the memories.

I love it when people reuse, redo, and then keep it.
