Tiny laundry room makeover and organization

This tiny laundry room had taken on too many roles. It was crammed with a stacked washer and dryer, a chest freezer AND a huge storage cabinet that had become a makeshift pantry in a home that didn't have one. It was time to give this room an identity but we didn't have much money to do it with so we had to be creative.
Unable to afford new built-in shelving or cabinetry we were forced to be creative and use what we had or could find for next to nothing.
Stay put window covering made with fabric and ribbon stapled to wood and screwed directly to the wall. No need to ever close these curtains.
Our new light fixture started out as an Easter basket. Who knew?
The sad but true before picture. Stacked washer and dryer, chest freezer and a makeshift pantry left no space for our laundry! It was time for a change!!!

Checked out your laundry room update, but I'm wondering, what did you do with the freezer?

Just viewed your laundry room update and it is just so charming. My studio has a stackable washer and dryer in it so I am going to use some of your ideas to make it look less cluttered. Thank you, Sherry for posting this makeover.
