Thrifted, Spray Painted Snow Village

I purchased several snow village buildings at the thrift shop for $3-4 each.
They are ceramic, bisque finish and by various manufacturers.
Last year's lighthouse before painting.
I spray painted them with satin white spray paint. 2-3 coats.
I then dipped my finger in Aleene's Tacky Glue and rubbed it on the roofs and other areas that snow would collect.
Then I sprinkled with mica snow.
I used mine in my bathroom because I have a long vanity. I don't use the cords. Instead I purchased some very flat flameless candles and put them in the bulb hole.

What a great way to unite disparate pieces and take items that I would never use in my decor to a level where they become a centerpiece! Thank you.

I’ve been collecting these same little houses for quite some time now. Several years actually. I too am doing mine almost exactly as you have done yours. As the years go by the prices have surely gone up on these little houses but I keep looking. I probably have about 30 or 40 now. My vision was to do several displays with them. Most have been painted by my granddaughters but we chose to do them by hand. They enjoyed doing the work and I am glad they did! Mine are all houses so far. I am looking for a church or two and then I have some vehicles I will add to the vignettes. Also have plenty of different trees. I can’t wait to get these completed...it should all be done by Christmas 2019. Hopefully!🙃
