DIY Plank Wall

Give an update to your stairway, or any wall, with an easy DIY plank wall!
Our stairway was home to a lot of random black photo frames, and while there's nothing wrong with that, I wanted a little different look. So I added a plank wall! And made the photo display, which you can see at www.thehatchedhome.com!

I used eucaboard (otherwise known as tempered hardboard) cut to 6" wide and nearly 13' long to span the width of the wall. It was attached using a nail gun then painted to match the same color as the trim.
I added quarter round to the edges of the plank wall and around the window to give a more finished feel. And the plank wall was done! The hardest part was teetering on the extension ladder 13 feet in the air!
